Meditation
I have always heard others say, “Think outside the box”. But when I began doing a series of 3×3 abstracts for the Vail Art Festival, it dawned on me that the invitation was to think inside the box. This world is the only one we have, this life is the only one we live, this day is the only one we get. The answers are not so much out there as in here, if we would but seek for them. It’s an inside job. The idea of “meditation” as a path towards a new perspective, prompted me to look a little closer, not only at these paintings, but at my life. When things look and feel like they are falling apart, they just might be falling together.
